Vivimos en ciudades llenas de tecnología, y la mejor forma de analizar los cambios que se producen en ellas es aprovechándola, mediante redes, sensores y dispositivos móviles.
TechniCity, curso gratuito que da comienzo hoy 25 de Febrero organizado por The Ohio State University y abierto para todo el público en la plataforma de Coursera sobre las smart cities. Preparado para 8 semanas de duración y entre 6/8 horas semanales de trabajo.
Además consta de una página MindMixer donde se pueden dar ideas nuevas para ciudades inteligentes, proponer proyectos y comentar lo que otra gente piensa, también se pueden puntuar e incluso ganar premios si acumulas muchos puntos. En este proyecto te puedes inscribir aquí.
El temario a seguir es:
- Week 1 – Foundations of the TechniCity: Understand the foundations of the TechniCity and what it means to be a city planner.
- Week 2 – Infrastructure for the TechniCity: You’ll learn how sensors and networks are transforming our cities.
- Week 3 – Engaging the TechniCity: Through social networking and crowdsourcing platforms you’ll learn how to engage in city building.
- Week 4 – Entrepreneurial Urbanism: You’ll explore how open data initiatives, hack-a-thons, and urban prototyping festivals are creatively innovating our cities.
- Weeks 5 & 6 – Analyzing the TechniCity: From sentiment analysis to mashups, you’ll experiment with analyzing data.
- Week 7 – Leading TechniCities: Explore how cities across the globe are using Technology to advance their future.
- Week 8 – The Future of the TechniCity: You’ll engage in peer evaluation of your fellow classmates projects and participate in lively discussion around the future of the TechniCity.
