UPDATE:
GEOG 497D – Lidar Technology and Applications
- Plataforma: PennState Department of Geography
- An introduction to Light Detection and Ranging (lidar) systems for mapping and GIS applications. This course assumes that students have prior knowledge and experience in mapping and GIS. Students who successfully complete GEOG 497D will be able to apply knowledge about airborne topographic lidar mapping systems, processing of lidar data, and lidar-derived data products to a variety of GIS application scenarios. They will be able to describe methods used to georeference and classify these data using commercially available software tools in order to produce digital terrain models and other GIS-ready data products. Finally, students will each develop a final project of their own design, demonstrating their ability to apply their new skills to a real-world situation of personal or professional interest.
- Muchísimos más cursos relacionados con SIG en su web (no todos tienen el material publicado)
- Plataforma Coursera
- Agosto – Septiembre 2014
- What happens when creativity and science come together? The power to design our world is unleashed, providing tools to inform choices about how we live! Geodesign is the glue—it’s a process that deploys creativity to connect information to people, using collaboration to better inform how we design our world.
- Plataforma: Coursera
- 2 Junio – 30 Junio
- In this course you will learn how to program in R and how to use R for effective data analysis. You will learn how to install and configure software necessary for a statistical programming environment and describe generic programming language concepts as they are implemented in a high-level statistical language. The course covers practical issues in statistical computing which includes programming in R, reading data into R, accessing R packages, writing R functions, debugging, profiling R code, and organizing and commenting R code. Topics in statistical data analysis will provide working examples.
Introduction to Computing with Java
- Plataforma: edX
- 20 Junio – Septiembre
- This course aims to provide you with a good understanding of basic Java programming elements and data abstraction using problem representation and object-oriented framework. As the saying goes – “A picture is worth a thousand words”. This course will use sample objects such as photos or images to illustrate some important concepts for better understanding and retention. You will learn to write procedural programs using variables, arrays, control statements, loops, recursion, data abstraction and objects in an integrated development environment.
- Plataforma: Coursera
- 30 Junio – 8 Septiembre
- Join the data revolution. Companies are searching for data scientists. This specialized field demands multiple skills not easy to obtain through conventional curricula. Introduce yourself to the basics of data science and leave armed with practical experience extracting value from big data.
M101P: MongoDB for Developers with Python
- Plataforma: MongoDB University
- 24 Junio – 12 Agosto
- Learn everything you need to know to get started building a MongoDB-based app. This course will go over basic installation, JSON, schema design, querying, insertion of data, indexing and working with language drivers. We will also cover working in sharded and replicated environments. In the course, you will build a blogging platform, backed by MongoDB. Our code examples will be given in Python. A brief Python introduction is included in the course.
